We’re suing the Trump administration! Alaskans for Wildlife is a co-litigant on a lawsuit filed by Trustees for Alaska on behalf of twelve additional clients. We’re suing the Interior Department and National Park Service for illegally adopting a rule that would open up national preserves in Alaska to inhumane hunting practices. Such practices include killing brown bears over bait (donuts and grease) and killing wolves during the denning season.
These sport hunting regulations are meant to decimate predator populations in order to increase the moose and caribou available for harvest, and have no place on our national preserves.
