Military Land Grab in Nevada

Nevada’s Desert National Wildlife Refuge is the largest federal refuge in the lower 48, home to many rare and threatened species— including bighorn sheep and desert tortoises.

According to the Center for Biological Diversity, the Democrat led House Armed Services Committee has recently green lighted giving 850,000 acres of the Desert Refuge to the Air Force to use as an industrial training center. This shameful land grab will allow some of the West’s most pristine habitat to be destroyed, setting a devastating precedent for giveaways of our national wildlife refuge system.

Help prevent this move from becoming a painful reality by demanding that Committee Chair Smith and committee members reverse this destructive move to our national system and that they take a stand in upholding the integrity of our nation’s wildlife refuge system.
